Hi -
This is very useful. I have a small problem which I cannot resolve. I have a Flash AS2 website with a download button for a AIR application. When I click on download I want the AIR install badge to appear on the same page. I have used the code from Adobe AIR as referred by you and followed David Tucker's instructions. The problem is that the badge opens up in a new HTML page. How do I get it to open on the same Flash page?
Many thanks.

<a href="#comment-248" rel="nofollow">@Marty Pitt </a> right now I'm only using IDEA for Groovy and Grails development. Coming from Eclipse, IDEA is an awkward fit at first but it quickly grows on you. It's a very capable IDE with a ton of out of the box features (like GIT support) that Eclipse is lacking. But I guess for the price you pay one would expect to see these types of features.

I've only briefly looked into the Flex plugin for IDEA, not enough to form an opinion yet. I'm a long time Flex Builder user so the IDEA Flex support would have to be nothing short of amazing to get me to switch away, especially after having used Flash Builder for my most recent project.

Hi

Are you using IDEA for flex development too? I'm looking to make the change, but wondering how others are finding it.

This is one more reason why I think CF will ultimately be EOF'd by Adobe. Macromedia kind of put CF down a dead end street. Its Java-based, yet its main target continues to be Windows. Adobe has two choices in my opinion. One, stop being so Windows-centric. Two, abandon Java and put CF on .Net.

Same here. As of today, it works on Windows but nothing for OSX. Trying to find tutorials that explain how to create the same files manually.

Hey Tom,

Have you tried reflexive mediator registration in Fabrication? It solves the problem of deferred mediator registration in a very simple way using component resolvers. Instead of waiting for the component to be created, you just register the mediator as you would. Fabrication waits for the component to become available and then registers the mediator with the facade. Check it out here[1].

darshan

I'm waiting for FB3 for linux too. My alpha 3 trial is just about to expire and I don't hear any noise about new trail keys or a new beta version. After talking about this issue with Tim Buntel at webdu this year, he said there are certain difficulties they're yet to overcome in porting the design view, refactoring support and other critical functionality. He also hinted that FB for linux may not be release in version 3. Ted or anyone else from Adobe that's listening, can you confirm this or am I mistaken?

I read your post and see I'm having the same issue. Did you find a solution, or are we OSX ers just out of luck. From the demos and video of the wizard, I was excited also. I have Flex3 and Cold Fusion 8 Developer version.

Thanks for any response.
